User Content Guidelines

Important: Drift is a private matching platform, not a public social network. Your bottles are only visible to users matched by our AI, and communication is limited to one-time replies.

1. Introduction

These User Content Guidelines explain what content is acceptable when using Drift. By using our Service, you agree to follow these Guidelines.

2. Content Visibility

Understanding who can see your content:

3. Prohibited Content

Even in private matching, certain content is not allowed:

3.1 Illegal Content

Strictly Prohibited:

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — immediate account termination and law enforcement reporting
Content promoting terrorism or violent extremism
Content facilitating human trafficking or exploitation
Fraud or scam content

3.2 Harmful Content

Content that threatens violence or physical harm to individuals
Content promoting self-harm or suicide
Malware, viruses, or harmful code

3.3 Harassment

Targeted harassment or abuse of specific individuals
Unwanted sexual content or advances
Doxxing (sharing private information of others without consent)

3.4 Spam and Manipulation

Repetitive or meaningless content designed to game the matching algorithm
Commercial advertising or solicitation
Attempts to redirect users to external services

4. AI Content Review

Our AI system ("Mo") reviews all bottles before matching:

Automated screening: AI detects potential policy violations
Human review: Flagged content may be reviewed by our team
Action: Violating content may be blocked from matching

5. Reporting Violations

If you receive content that violates these Guidelines:

In-app reporting: Use the report button on any bottle or echo

Emergency: For imminent harm threats, contact local law enforcement

6. Enforcement

AI matching does not constitute endorsement of content. We cannot review all content in real-time. Use your judgment when engaging with matched bottles.

Anonymity Limits

Anonymous mode hides your display name but does not make you untraceable. We may disclose user information if required by law.

Content Retention

Matched bottles remain visible to the matched user even if you delete your account. We retain data as required by law.
