Important: Drift is a private matching platform, not a public social network. Your bottles are only visible to users matched by our AI, and communication is limited to one-time replies.
These User Content Guidelines explain what content is acceptable when using Drift. By using our Service, you agree to follow these Guidelines.
Understanding who can see your content:
| Content Type | Visibility | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Bottles you write | Matched users only | Until account deletion |
| Your profile | Not visible to other users | N/A |
| Echoes (replies) | Recipient only | Until recipient deletes |
Even in private matching, certain content is not allowed:
Our AI system ("Mo") reviews all bottles before matching:
If you receive content that violates these Guidelines:
| Action | Trigger |
|---|---|
| Content blocked | Policy violation detected by AI |
| Warning | Minor violation |
| Temporary suspension | Repeated violations |
| Permanent ban | Severe violations (CSAM, threats, etc.) |
AI matching does not constitute endorsement of content. We cannot review all content in real-time. Use your judgment when engaging with matched bottles.
Anonymous mode hides your display name but does not make you untraceable. We may disclose user information if required by law.
Matched bottles remain visible to the matched user even if you delete your account. We retain data as required by law.
